Ingredients:

- 2 large eggs

- 2 ¼ cups all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
- Red, yellow, and black food coloring
- Royal icing (for decorating)
Instructions:
- First things first, preheat that oven to 375°F (190°C). We need that heat just right.
- In a large bowl, cream together the softened butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until light and fluffy. You gotta work it, baby!
- Beat in the eggs one at a time, then stir in the vanilla extract. We want that vanilla flavor bussin’.
- In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, and salt. Make sure it’s all mixed real good.
- Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing until just combined. Don’t overmix, y’all!
- Stir in the chocolate chips. We need that chocolatey goodness!
- Now, divide the dough into three equal portions. Tint one portion red, one yellow, and leave one black. This is where the Mickey Mouse magic happens!
- Roll out the dough on a lightly floured surface and use Mickey Mouse cookie cutters to cut out shapes. If you ain’t got Mickey, any fun shape will do!
- Place the cookies on ungreased baking sheets, leaving some space between them.
- Bake for 8-10 minutes, or until the edges are lightly golden brown. Don’t let ’em burn!
- Let the cookies cool on the baking sheets for a few minutes before transferring them to a wire rack to cool completely.
- Once the cookies are completely cool, decorate them with royal icing. Use red, yellow, and black icing to create Mickey Mouse’s iconic colors and features. Get creative, y’all!
